I've raised £2000 to provide 50 students of Kgato Primary school a 1year scholarship to cover both their full years school fees and uniforms.

I recently made my first trip to South Africa to visit a friend. I managed to see many parts of the country and was fully captivated by the culture and the people. I was also fortunate enough to pay a visit to a local school in the Bloemfontein region: the Kgato Primary School . I was warmly welcomed by students and teachers, which was hugely unexpected and immensely humbling.
Ms Tadi, the school’s Head of Department (H.O.D), told us what the main courses of the institute are, whilst showing us around the school. When in the classrooms, the students welcomed us by reciting poems and reading stories, singing local songs and dancing. it was a truly unique heart warming experience!
Ms Tadi explained the local families struggled to afford the school fees due to most of the parents being unemployed, which also meant the only decent meal the kids would eat was the one offered by the school.
I was told the annual school fees are such a small amount as £20 per student and the cost for their uniforms is approximately the same per student.
As a result of this very touching experience, I have decided to try and raise £2000.00 and help 50 students with a full year scholarship, which will cover both their school fees and uniform.
Please support me and children of the Kgato Primary School by donating whatever you can spare. Thank you in advance for reading our story and for helping us achieve our goal.
Please remember to share this link with friends, the more people we reach, the more chances to succeed!
Thanks again,
Luca
