Lucas has been passionate about sport and in particular Rugby all his life and has trained hard to reach his maximum potential which has been rewarded by being offered a full Rugby scholarship at Lindenwood Belleville University in Illinois, USA for four years.

Fees to attend the university programme are currently $26,600 per year, the full Rugby scholarship reduces these fees to $13,300 which along with a reduction in fees due to his academic score leaves $8,300 to fund per year.

It is clear to anybody who meets Lucas that he is extremely hard working, enthusiastic about his studies and determined to succeed in life. Lucas comes from a single parent family and whilst his mother will be able to meet some of the fees Lucas will need to fund the shortfall himself. Lucas has taken a gap year during which he has worked to save money to support himself through the four year programme however the fees will continue to be a huge financial challenge.
