    Story

    Hi All,

Those of you that know me know that i tragically lost the most important person in my life on the 20th june 2015, my Dad. He left behind an amazing mum and wife and my 3 sibling’s, one of them being my twin sister Charlotte and my two brother’s, Daniel now 23 and my younger warrior brother now 17. My Dad had so much to live for, having 1 grandchild at the time, AJ now 3, and a further two of which he never got to meet. He was my best friend and my absolute world! The day we were told he was no longer with us is a day we will never forget, the day our whole lives were broken and ripped apart. Not a day goes by where we don't think of what would have been but the reality is we have to live on in his memory.

What you don't know which I'm now ready to share with you all is dad was fighting a massive demon in his own head, a massive demon called depression. As with many Demons he wouldn't accept help, and in the early hours of 20th of June 2015 he walked out the house leaving behind my mum and little brother and my little brother had said “ill see you later dad”. Sadly he didn't see him later, none of us did, not alive anyway. Dad had believed that the best thing to do for everyone would be to end his life, so he did. He committed suicide and fell in to a seizure on his own in the street in the dark and cold. A passerby found my dad in this state and rang an ambulance to try and get him help, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do and he died an hour or so after the ambulance got to him. We lost everything that day. Nothing was the same again. Nothing anyone was saying or doing was making anything ok or even slightly better. He wouldn't accept help, he wouldn't talk to anyone. My Dad was always such a character, always laughing, always smiling and ALWAYS making jokes!!

Even this biggest characters in our lives fall down from time to time but mine never got back up again. Maybe he would have done if he accepted his depression and sought help. I so wish he did.

So for this exact reason, and in memory of my Dad i am going to be doing a Skydive to raise money for the MIND charity, a charity that i wish dad would have spoken to before we lost everything.

I will be completely this skydive july 2018

So even if you could spare 50p please donate, every penny really does help and really will be quite literally saving peoples lives.

Thank you so much for reading my story. To anyone thats reading my story and feeling a little lost, please accept help and seek it before its to late. Some decisions leave so much heartache behind. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
