Following the horrific injustice of George Floyd's murder, the extreme unrest in Minneapolis and the unfaltering and continuous oppression of the black community in the USA, I will be raising money in direct support of Black Lives Matter and the Minnesota Freedom Fund. These organisations are imperative to providing people with the freedom, respect and support they're owed and they need our support now more than ever.

This will be a really effective way of providing direct assistance to the cause. I know these are tough times and we have plenty of problems on our side of the pond but I honestly believe that with such a high-profile case of injustice, the time to act is now.

Donations will be split 50:50 between BLM and the MFF and I will be matching every donation up to £300.

Beyond this, as means of encouragement and because my dignity was lost a very long time ago, I thought I'd spice things up by doing something stupid at specific donation milestones.

£30 - dye my hair pink

£75 - shave my head

£150 - wax my entire body (obviously will be filmed)

£200 - shave off my eyebrows (on top of being waxed so I've got that egg aesthetic)

£350 - person who gets us there gets to choose (within reason)

£600 - I'll get a tattoo in support of the movement (sorry mum)

I understand that not everyone will be in a position to donate, and in that case, all I ask is that you help tackle racism by learning about the systematic and structural barriers in place that impede the progress and development of black communities both in the US and the UK.
