    Story

4 years ago I moved from South Africa to live in Scotland and about 15 months ago I gave birth to my beautiful son. It wasn’t an easy pregnancy at all. Two weeks after giving birth i was hospitalised with a serious Mestitis infection. One infection followed another infection and i ended up spending several weeks in and out of hospital during the time that i should have been rejoicing and be happy. This lead to postnatal depression. It is never easy going through what we mums go through, but i look at it as a journey in my life that i had to take. So i thought finding a job would lift up my spirits and find a bit of a social life away from changing nappies and being puked on. No! So i went and found a job. Finding a job was the easy part, problem is that i don’t even spend my earnings that i have sweated long hours for on myself because a lot of it goes to paying childminder. My work is a 45 minute walk away. Public transsport doesnt go in the direction of my work, which means i would have to take several buses and take even longer. If i had a bike, i could get to work so much quicker, and home to my baby in less than half the time. I just cant afford to use my wages on a bike, and this is why im asking for help. Please help me raise enough money to buy a bike.
