Story

I’m fundraising £600 for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and to support those affected by hereditary multiple exostoses (HME).

As a parent of three children with HME, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible care GOSH provides. My son Max has been admitted multiple times, and I want to give back by running the 2025 London Marathon to support children and families going through similar experiences.

HME causes significant Chronic Pain with the Exostoses pressing on surrounding muscles, nerves, and blood vessels, leading to discomfort and persistent pain. Growths near joints have caused the boys stiffness, limited mobility, and joint deformities resulting in 20 operations for growths that have caused significant pain, nerve compression, and reduced limit function.

26.2 miles is a massive challenge i dont find runninf easy, I am not fast and I have no natural ability, but given what the boys endure on a daily basis I know why I want to do this I hope to make them proud!
