We want to raise as much money as we can to send to the amazing Vinayak Shiksha Niketan school in Thimi, Nepal. Thimi is a traditional Nepalese village where pottery and farming are the main sources of employment. As a result many families here are very poor and can't afford to send their children to school. The Principal, Surendra Bikram Prajapati founded the school in 1989, with the aim to educate the underprivileged children in Thimi, and since then has also set up a wonderful international sponsorship programme. After volunteering at this school teaching English language I have seen how important it is for children to get the opportunity to learn. Sadly there are still 1 million children in Nepal who don't receive an education, so any donations will be greatly appreciated to help shrink this number!
