    Story

    Keep our girls together.

Many of you will have seen and maybe helped us with our fundraising so far, and we would like to thank you unreservedly for your time and help.

We are the proud parents of wonderful triplet daughters who are nearly 5 years old.

Since the age of 2, our family has been pulled apart by a rare kidney disease, that to this day remains not fully diagnosed. What started off with what we thought was a childhood illness, that can be easily treated with a few medications, has spiralled into a life changing, debilitating, incurable disease for two of our girls, that has physically torn our family apart. As we speak Daisy is having end stage renal care and Amber is fast catching up with her as the chronic kidney disease deteriorates their kidney function further. There is no cure. There is no let up in their treatment.

Our local renal paediatric hospital is over 4 hrs travel round trip. At the moment at least one of the girls spends a minimum of 3 days a week there. Often far more.

As a result our children’s lives are massively affected. Both physically and emotionally. The three little girls who battled a terrible pregnancy with many complications including Twin to Twin transfusion, heart defects, and prematurity, and who at one point were given Just a 30% chance of survival, now go days, sometimes weeks without seeing each other.

Our aim is to raise the funds to be able to adapt our house as necessary, and have the treatment our girls need, at home. Not only will this mean our children will get to see their mum and dad and siblings far more, but it will give them back a massive amount of normality. Normality that we take for granted so often. The ability to go to school and learn together, and be able to socialise together. The means to play together. The support for each other to help them deal with their illness and still have a childhood.

So many wonderful people have helped us so far. But we remain some way from being able to adapt and install the necessary equipment needed to keep our girls together.

Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for any help you can give.
