Lucy has been chosen to represent Girlguiding on a trip to Denmark in July 2017. She had to prove her skills at a weekend camp, and was chosen with 11 others to join a jamboree in Sønderborg with 40,000 Guides and Scouts from across the globe. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, and experience a completely different culture. She needs to raise £1000 overall, and is baking, babysitting, organising events and helping run fundraising days to raise the rest of the money.

On the 26th and 27th November, Lucy will be taking on the Mission Survive Challenge; the teams will start off with minimal kit and will gain food and equipment along the way. Bases along the route will have a challenge that the teams will need to complete to be rewarded with food or kit.

The final part of the challenge is to create a shelter with the kit they have gained along the way and also cook the food over a fire they have started themselves. It will take place across rural Leicestershire, over 24 hours starting at 8.30am on the 26th Nov.
