Isla Donovan is 6 years old, she has very long, thick hair. Isla has decided to have her hair cut short, on 24th June, to support two great causes.

Firstly, Isla is going to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes real hair wigs for children who have lost their hair.

Secondly, she would like to use the event to raise money for Joshua and his family. Josh has been fighting leukaemia since he was 5 years old. Josh will be 8 on 29th June and although he was desperately hoping to be at home for his birthday, it looks likely he will spend it in hospital.

Josh has undergone so much treatment over the last few years, and spent long periods of time in hospital; everyday is a fight. Josh underwent a bone marrow transplant in April and unfortunately has suffered some set backs since. He has been in and out of intensive care, which is where he currently is. So although he won't make it home in time for his birthday we all hope he's back there soon. Go Josh!
