Watching Kerry Needham and her family in the news over the past few weeks has been heartbreaking. They have spent the last 25 years desperately searching for Ben. It now seems most likely that Ben died on the day he went missing all those years ago. The police seem sure but after three weeks of thorough searching they haven't found him. So Kerry and her family are still in limbo not knowing where he is.

I am a mum of three boys and have followed Kerry's story over the years. The last few weeks it has really hit home just how I would feel if one of my babies was missing. I like most of us cannot begin to imagine the trauma of what Kerry and her family are going through and have gone through over 25 long years.

I know so many people will be watching the story wishing they could help Kerry in some way, that's why I want to raise money for Kerry, to show her how many people are thinking of her and how many of us have thought of her since Ben went missing in 1991.

A huge total would be amazing but for me this is more about the number of donations than the total amount raised. We can't do anything to lessen the pain, trauma and grief but perhaps if she knew how much and how many people care it may just help in some way.

So please donate, even the smallest amount would be amazing because it really is the thought that counts.
