Story

30for30.

This year, as I turn 30, I’ve set myself the challenge of swimming 30km in open water along the Ebre River non-stop.

A few years ago, I swam Windermere one way - 17km for charity, and now I want to try and swim 30km non-stop in open water and support two causes that truly matter to me.

The first is Stockton Wheelers Cycling Club’s Inclusive Sessions, which give children and adults with disabilities the chance to ride specially adapted bikes—something I believe everyone should be able to enjoy.

These bikes can cost up to £6,500, so every bit of support helps.

The second cause is a small, local charity run by our neighbours that helps disadvantaged and disabled children in India gain access to education.

What I love about both of these initiatives is that the money goes straight to the people who need it—no big corporations involved, just real impact.

I am aiming to raise £1500 for these important causes. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can create opportunities and inspire change.

Thank you so much for all your support,

Love Lucy
