    Story

Scottish Kettlebell team are raising funds so we can represent our country in Athens this year. Each individual team member has to raise funds. I have already purchased my flights and accommodation. I need to find £100 for the Scottish Team Kit. Between 100 and 200 Euros for entry fees, 20 Euros to register, and up to 60 Euros for WADA drug tests.

    Any help much appreciated.

Anything raised over the amount needed will be used to support the development of Kettlebell sport.

Kit has arrived. Looking really smart. T shirts, Lifting vest, leggings, shorts and Tracksuit. And a snazzy rucksack to pack too. All emblazoned with the Scottish logo. Was touch and go whether I was going to make it. Life and a hamstring injury nearly got in the way. But currently on track to fly out next Tuesday: 10th October. Lifting on Friday and Saturday. Fingers crossed.

With only 7 weeks left until the World Championships Training is beginning to get pretty tough. Longer and faster sets, followed by shorter heavier ones. A slight reprieve this weekend as I am swimming the great Scottish swim- a mile in Loch Lomond. Then Sunday is a Scottish team training day.

TRaining continues to go well. A rest week after the Scottish Open (3 Golds!) means I am chomping at the bit to get lifting again. Due to being the only person from my club travelling to Athens I need to find the additional finance to cover transfers from the airport to the venue. Travelling solo is EXPENSIVE. I am trying to find a way that this additional cost isn't a deal breaker. Indeed car hire.... driving on the wrong side of the road, in a left hand drive hire care and navigating may be more tricky than doing the actual lifting.
