Story

So what am I doing?

I will be taking part in the Mount Snowdon triple challenge for London Hearts. I will be cycling, hiking to the summit and then kayaking around Mount Snowdon. This is by far my biggest challenge, money wise and physically.

Why?

I am really passionate about teaching as many people possible on how to perform CPR and use the defibrillator. I know we have an amazing NHS, but due to COVID they are really stressed right now and ambulance times have increased. I performed CPR pre COVID and thankfully the ambulance arrived within 6 minutes, would that be the same time now I'm not so sure.

By performing effective compressions you are actually keeping that brain alive, But you really need that defibrillator to stun that heart and get it back into a normal rhythm. You cant hurt anyone with a defibrillator and they are so easy to use. A defibrillator will talk you through every step.

Can you see now why they are so important. Please help me in raising as much money possible, The first place I would like to donate a defibrillator is The Gatwick School in Crawley. Its a wonderful school, with amazing facilities and over 1000 pupils, staff and parents on site.

Thank you so much

Lucy
