    Weʼve raised £1,055 to help fund the Fior De Loto school in Pushkar, helping disadvantaged girls get an education.

    Funded on Thursday, 26th March 2020

    Don't have time to donate right now?

    Inspired by last year's Black Friday, where all you lovely people helped us to send an amazing 36 girls to school, we are thrilled to be working with the Fior Di Loto Foundation in Pushkar, India for another year. We want to send those 36 girls back for another year AND hopefully even more!

    We will be giving 10% of all our sales from Friday 29th November to Monday 2nd December to the Fior Di Loto school. This Just Giving page is an option to donate directly to the school without having to buy anything.

    For £220, the Fior Di Loto Foundation can educate one girl for a whole year, buy her uniform, shoes, and books and also provide her lunch and transport (and a lovely dress for their Diwali Celebrations). That's not a lot of money to transform one person's life through education! In fact, we think it's just about the best thing you can spend £220 on!

    You can of course donate whichever amount you can (however big or small) - we are so thankful for your support with this initiative! Here are a few more details on what your money can buy;

    • £7 will pay for a pair of school shoes

    • £11 will pay for a school uniform

    • £20 will pay for a set of books

    • £40 will pay for transport to and from school

    • £56 will cover food

    • £100 covers exam fees and teachers

    We're really passionate about ongoing, sustained involvement in communities (the school is near Ismail's factory so will impact the whole town), as we believe this is what makes true, lasting change to peoples' lives!

    We've seen first hand the difference that Deepu and Mara have made to girls' lives in the town so we know the money will be in safe hands and going to such an important use. Education is one of the most powerful and long-lasting ways to make change and reduce poverty, as it not only changes one person's life but transforms communities and futures.

    It means so much to us that you are prepared to forfeit the usual massive discounts and embrace our vision of an ethical, sustainable business which tries to look out for people rather than exploiting them.

    Our goal is £880 which would sponsor 4 extra girls! Let's see if we can make it an even bigger donation this year and send more amazing girls to school!
