Story

It is with a sad and heavy heart that Gisele and I relay the sudden and unexpected passing away of Avram Meitner. ( He was well known on facebook, before he deleted his account, and many of you may know him for his brilliant writing and debating style. )

unfortunately, this has left Avram‘s wife and 7 children in a difficult situation, funds are needed for everyday expenses, as well as expenses to deal with legalities of the repatriation of the body. Please, if you can donate, it would be recieved gratefully. Please share to your networks.

the following is from Avram’s family:

On Friday 22nd January I was walking with my family on a beautiful winters day when I received a telephone call that shattered our lives: Avram, the father of our 7 young children, a man I had known and grew up with since he was 12 years old had died unexpectedly and suddenly in Hong Kong.

Avram had left to follow his ambitions in Hong Kong, but we talked regularly and remained close. He never failed to support our brood of wonderful and talented home educated children. Our children are beautiful, creative and have inherited Avram’s sharp intellect and skills. I am desperate to ensure that they can thrive as he would have wanted them to thrive.

Just hours before he died, Avram had arranged to send me the money for our February bills and the children’s exam and tuition fees. Nothing came and no support will ever come from him again because our children have lost him forever.

Avram wanted me to raise our children and now I need to find a way to support them. My children have lost their father and I have lost the income I rely upon to educate and support our children. Probate is likely to take up to 2 years and meanwhile, I am relying on the kindness of strangers to help me through the next few weeks whilst I find a longer term means to cope.
