I've raised £2500 to donate to two mental health charities by walking 100 miles over 5 days.

Thank you for visiting this page!
I along with a group of friends and family are going to be walking 100 miles over 5 days from the 8th to the 12th August to raise funds to donate to two incredible mental health charities whilst also raising awareness of mental health problems and suicide that are still increasing in the UK. We would really appreciate any donations you can give, also please share this page with your friends and family to help raise awareness.
If you would like to join us on any of the days walking then please do get in touch, you would be very welcome if you would like to do some walking or spend some time talking about your own experience of mental health issues or if you have experienced a bearvement from suicide. It is really important to keep talking and supporting each other!
The first charity we are raising money for is Papyrus:
PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.
Suicide is the biggest killer of people aged 35 and under in the UK. We believe that suicide is preventable.
PAPYRUS was founded in 1997 by a group of bereaved parents, who had each lost children to suicide. Our founding parents shared core beliefs that suicide is preventable, and that those of us with lived experience of suicide have a valuable and unique contribution to make to the wider conversation around suicide.
And the second charity is YANA:
YANA: help for those involved in farming and other rural businesses affected by stress and depression
Farming or working in the countryside is usually a good way of life but it is a demanding and stressful occupation. So, it’s not surprising that many people involved with agriculture can feel isolated, depressed or unable to cope as well as normal.
1 in 4 people in the UK will experience poor mental health so it is important to know that you, or the person you are concerned about, are not alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page, for any donations you have given and for sharing with your family and friends!
