In January, I am travelling to Anuradhapura in Northern Sri lanka to complete my elective physiotherapy placement. The placement will mark the end of my two year Physiotherapy Msc at Northumbria University. Whilst there, I will volunteering in Anuradhapura General Teaching Hospital, working in neurosurgery, the traumatic injury unit, amputation and paediatrics.

Throughout my masters, I have been working towards completing my dissertation which is focused around the physiotherapist's involvement in humanitarian crisis. This placement will further my knowledge in the field, and help me develop a greater understanding of healthcare systems in developing countries, and the pressures they face.

I am therefore looking for help towards funding different aspects of my trip. This will include accommodation, the necessary vaccinations, everyday needs and travel expenses. I have managed to personally fund the majority of the money needed however any help you can offer me would be much appreciated and rewarded with constant updates of the help I am giving those living in and around Sri Lanka.
