I am Luke Twaddle and I will be attending the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023. This is an amazing opportunity for scouts to meet people from around the world. This means we as a unit will be representing the UK and Devon to nearly all of the countries around the world. However, to go to South Korea I must raise a total of £4,300 to pay for my uniform, plane tickets and to fund scouts in less wealthy countries to be able to attend. This money will also be spent on helping set up amazing activities ranging from canoeing and rock climbing to a city trip to Seoul, the capital of South Korea! The Jamboree will take place at SaeManGeum, a beautiful place on the West coast of South Korea. This is such an amazing event to meet other young people and experience scouting around the world! We even get to trade our Neckers ( Scouting Scarves, I can be seen wearing one in the image above) and swap all kinds of scouting gear with nearly 4,000 scouts attending.
