Story
My dog recently found a baby bird in the garden & threw it in the air. It was tiny & although she released it where it scuttled under a bush, when approaching nightfall, it was still there. With no wildlife experience, I reached out on Facebook for help and a flurry of people suggested Luke Haines, who they said was the Bird Man of Chesham. I contacted him & he arranged for the fledgling to be collected. He literally saved its life. He put it on a heat pad & stayed up with it throughout the night feeding it. I‘ve since learned of all the other birds he‘s rescued & released. He pays for all the food, rescue equipment etc himself and I suspect sometimes it‘s hard to make ends meet but he does it because he really loves animals. I wanted to set this page up so we, as a community, can rally & support him to cover these costs. Who would we phone to help an injured animal if there was no Luke?
