Luke’s Big Push 2026 – Sheffield to Silverstone

For their third annual challenge, the ThisIsLuke team are taking on their most ambitious feat yet: pushing a car from Sheffield Children’s Hospital all the way to Silverstone.

A dedicated core team of 10, supported by drivers and medics, will set off from Sheffield on Sunday 23rd August and aim to arrive at Silverstone on Friday 28th, perfectly timed to coincide with the start of CarFest.

Covering roughly 25 miles per day, and powered purely by determination, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart, the team will push through a gruelling 131‑mile route. Their mission is simple but powerful: to raise vital funds for CarFest charities and honour the spirit of Luke’s story.
