Lune Valley Swimming Pool is much more than a place to swim - it is a cherished hub at the heart of our community.

We offer a wide range of swimming lessons and activities, including children’s swimming lessons, school lessons to 9 local primary schools and 2 schools for children with additional needs, family fun sessions, Aquafit classes, public sessions and so much more. We also provide pool hire for two local diving clubs, three local cub and scout groups and multiple family and social groups for children with additional needs.

As a community run swimming pool, we strive to offer safe and inclusive swimming opportunities for all ages and abilities. However, as a not-for-profit charity, this can be hard to maintain, as we rely on grant funding and continuous fundraising to keep our doors open and offer these essential services to the community.

Our annual Sponsored Swim returns from 16th - 22nd of March 2026, bringing together LVSP swimmers, local schools, and members of the public to see how far we can swim while raising vital funds for the pool. Anyone can get involved by counting their lengths during their swim - every stroke makes a difference.

Last year our amazing swimmers swam 126 miles and raised an incredible £2000 (before gift aid), which went straight back into maintaining the swimming pool. This year we are aiming to smash that goal!

By taking part, sponsoring, or simply spreading the word, each person helps to protect a space that teaches life-saving skills, builds confidence, promotes health and wellbeing, and brings our community together. Every length swum, every pound raised, and every supporter involved is a step toward securing the future of Lune Valley Swimming Pool for the next generation.
