Story

Dara is an Irish lurcher that arrived after being feral in Ireland for months. He was very frightened of people and would react by backing into a corner and growling when people came to see him. So after a while it became obvious that he wasn't going to be rehomed so the LSOS kept him. They took out PetPlan £4000 a year cover and that was fine for ages. However then Dara was found crying in pain - he couldn't use his leg. He was taken to the vets and pronounced a broken femur . No evidence of cancer on the x-ray. So Dara went to an orthopaedic and general vet who also x-rayed him and said no evidence of cancer so we went ahead with putting a plate in his leg at the cost of £3500 odd.

After rest, Dara was walking on all 4 legs again and doing well. However then he started to not use the leg and it didn't get better.

Dara needed a CT Scan which thankfully donations coverd the cost of. The CT scan showed that the rest of Dara's body and legs were clear of the cancer in his leg, so the decision was taken to amputate Daras leg. This cost a further £3,735.

Now we need to fund further treatment, including possible chemotherapy.

Please consider donating even just a pound or two it would be appreciated. The Rescue has struggled due to COVID, funds are at an all time low so we really appreciate your help as I am sure will poor darling Dara.
