On the 22nd October, members of the LUUMC will be climbing the height of Mount Elbrus, at the indoor climbing centre, The Leeds Wall.
Mount Elbrus is the highest mountain in Russia and in Europe, and the tenth most prominent peak in the world, standing at 5,642 metres.
The money that we raise undertaking this challenge will be donated to the purchase of a memorial bench, in memory of Marcus, and to the Cairngorms Mountain Rescue team.

Thank you to everyone who has donated. We are so grateful to every individual who has helped us to reach and surpass our target. Thanks to your generosity we will be able to purchase a bench to have in memory of Marcus and also donate funds to the Cairngorms Mountain Rescue. It's far from over yet, as next weekend we take on our challenge and have a strong team of 25-30 individuals taking part on the day. Thank you again to everyone who has donated. LUUMC
