I've raised £60000 to support the running of LWS Night Shelter and its services and to fund the renovation of a new premises if the current building is demolished

LWS Night Shelter is a wholly volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, established to provide provides a hot meal, a safe place to sleep, and company for the homeless an vulnerably-housed in Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas.
Each Friday and Saturday night, LWS feeds around 40 guests, and provides a safe, warm bed for up to 20. In the past year, the shelter has welcomed 250 individual guests through its doors.
Since its establishment in Winter 2015, and thanks to the kindness of the owner, LWS has been able to temporarily use as its base the Priors Club building on Tower Street. Due to planned redevelopment on the site, the organisation may need to relocate to a new premises in order to continue to keep guests safe, warm and well-fed in the future.
A building to become LWS's permanent home has potentially been secured, with the condition that the organisation raise the £60k costs required for its renovation - and that's where you come in!
LWS has only been able to provide its much-needed service to its guests through the phenomenal generosity of local people and students, who have donated their time and money to help those in need within their community.
With your help, LWS can continue to make an immeasurable difference to the lives of people in need in your local area! Thank you!
***PLEASE NOTE***
As you may have seen in the media, Warwick District Council has provisionally agreed to support us with the refurbishment costs of the building.
We are awaiting further details on the amount of funding this will be, and will continue to raise funds until then, to ensure the costs are met.
Any money we raise that is not used towards a new premises will go towards the general running costs of the shelter and providing much needed services for our guests.

“LWS Night Shelter is more than just a roof over the heads of our guests. It is a place where they can feel safe, and be treated with dignity and respect. We aim to foster a sense of community that welcomes people from all walks of life.”
Leamington Winter Support was set up by two students at the University of Warwick, to provide the service during Winter 2015/2016. We are very fortunate to have the use of the old Priors Club thanks to Tara and Co Estate Agents. Students and locals worked together on all the preparations for our opening night on Friday 22nd January 2016. Since then, we have learned a lot from everyone that has been involved, including our guests. Thanks to continued support from students and the local community we have been able to remain open throughout the year (re-branding to 'LWS Night Shelter'), and are preparing for our third winter.
As well as our weekly service, we organise fundraising events, and are always in search of new ways to connect with the local community.
We owe our success to every single person that has helped us in any way over the past year, and we look forward to continuing the service for as long as possible.
Thank you for reading, and for your support!
