I've raised £5000 to donate to Butterfly Vacations for all those who work so hard to help make our tours such a success.

It has been an incredibly difficult and sad time for our friends and their families in Sri Lanka. To think that it was just a few months ago that we were together, sharing stories, laughter and love. Now, due to an unexpected and tragic event their lives have been turned upside down and their futures not looking as bright as they once were.
I think that it would be fair to say that most of you, our supporters and our school groups, have been welcomed into the country with open arms and open hearts. A country that relies heavily on tourism and a community that pride themselves on sharing all they have with us, making the time spent in such a beautiful country a memorable experience.Sadly, due to the events on Easter Sunday and the obvious impact on visitors to the country, our friends are finding themselves in a difficult position because for many their livelihoods lost are temporarily lost.
However, despite all this they continue to remain strong and positive and we would like to show our support to them and their country in arranging a donation to Butterfly Vacations for their employees on behalf of LWTL and all our travellers.
LWTL will start proceedings with a donation of £1000. If we can exceed £2000 in additional donations we will donate another £1000 into the pot.
In addition, the 10 highest donations will be put in to a hat. The winner selected at random will receive a signed cricket ball from Muttiah Muralitharan.
A poignant phrase has been shared with us:
‘Sri Lanka are stronger than their hate with more love still to give and their arms will always remain open’
