Story
I'm fundraising for an extremely worthwhile project out in Uganda, TUSP want to support struggling schools in Uganda. The aim is simple, find those schools that are most in need and provide proper infrastructure.
The Uganda School Project support struggling schools in Uganda. In 2016 TUSP began supporting Bumakenya Primary School in the beautiful Manafwa region, in Eastern Uganda. We put in place proper infrastructure which included: the installation of clean water, 5 new classrooms, new teachers, sports programmes, health screening for the community, free lunch for the pupils and for the first time, clean and safe latrines.
This year we will expand our work to establish a sign language unit at the school, a micro finance program and a mobile cataract surgery unit in order to help to develop the economic, health and social structures in the area. Our work is only possible with the help from donors so we are ever grateful for any support!
Last year they managed to build at Bumakenya Primary School: 5 classrooms, 5 latrines, provided sustainable access to safe drinking water, are the first government school feeding in Manafwa, have began teaching sign language for the deaf, built our cook a smoke free efficient stove, started a piggery to fund the school lunches and organized for the whole community to be medically assessed. Job well done but only the start.
What just started out as two friends wanting to make a difference just because they could help, has grown so much in just a year with the help of friends and family and with your help can carry on growing and providing much needed help in Uganda.
TUSP is such a new and exiciting idea which isn't run by any big organisation and so all money goes stright to the actual projects it has set up. You donations will really have a huge and direct impact on these children and communities.

Excited I have the opportunity to go out and help this wonderful project. If you have the chance to go and work on a project such as this why not, is what I'm saying this year. I do love a challenge and so can't think of a better way to spend a month.
