After going up to London to help volunteer after the tower fire, i came home completely broken hearted. I wanted to do more to help and i didn't know who to turn to, so instead i started a sponsored walk for the local community to attend. People are being sponsored or donating on the day and the walk is 5 miles long, from the main Co op in Corsham to Bowden Hill, Lacock. I have had many people wanting to donate that cannot make it to the walk and this is the easiest way for them people to help that cannot make it.
I am raising the money for the survivors. I met people in London that have a direct link to the families affected. I myself am also in contact with a person.
What these human beings have been through and are going through is up and beyond what any of us can even begin to imagine. They have lost everything, and raising money cannot bring that back for them, but it is the act of kindness which helps emotionally and the act of doing something that can help ease the practical side of their journey to recovery.

I have been deeply deeply affected by this just like many of us, and i'm just trying to make a difference for someone somewhere that needs us.
