I've raised £50000 to To help fund the Commercial Pilot Training element of her Degree in Aviation with Commercial Pilots Training.

This week, my daughter received an unconditional offer (i.e. she has a place confirmed irrespective of her final exam results as the university is satisfied she has met the requirements to study at their facility) to study for a BA Hons Degree in Aviation Operations with Commercial Pilots training. The commercial pilots training is not covered under course fees / student loan and we have been made aware that an additional £70k is required to complete this aspect! Over the next four years, I will be able to save £20k realistically on my own.
My daughter, Morgan's ambition is to fly Commercial jets for a major airline. She is in her second year of studying for an extended BTEC National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and has been a member of air cadets for almost 4 years. Through Air cadets, Morgan has had the opportunity to have 1-2-1 flying instruction. on three occasions. She was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant, has completed qualifications in Aviation (gaining an additional GCSE) and First aid through Air cadets. She is also a qualified Lifeguard.
There is currently a shortage of Women Pilots, so to qualify in this field will be a monumental achievement on many levels. Morgan is a focussed, intelligent and very capable young lady and I know she can do this!
I am single parent who has always worked full time to support my daughter and I and we do not receive any benefits. or financial support in any shape or form. I have raised my daughter single handed since birth and have always encouraged and supported her to follow her dream.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
