Story

We lost our dog Tigger in January 2024 to T cell lymphoma and it broke our hearts. There is not a single second where we don't miss his cheeky, loving and kind soul. He loved to go on long walks, spend time with his favourite people and enjoy tasty snacks. On the 14th September there is a charity dog walk around the Vale of Belvoir in memory of Tigger.

I have set up this Just Giving link for those who cant join us on the day but would still like to donate money. The money raised will help those dogs currently suffering from cancer and help find a cure for this heart breaking disease.

All money raised will be split between two wonderful charities. The first is Zoe's Journey - this charity funds research projects into more successful treatment options with the end goal of stopping canine cancer. There is not enough research into canine cancer and the many different forms it takes. 1 in 3 dogs will get cancer in their lifetime and it is up to us to find a way to stop it.

The second charity is CamVet - they are a charity very close to our hearts as they raise money for The Queen's Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge, which is where Tigger received his cancer treatment. The Queen's Veterinary School Hospital is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in dogs. CamVet have promised that their share of the money will go directly to the oncology department that cared for Tigger and will help other dogs currently fighting the same battle.

Follow trekfortigger on instagram and Trek and Pace on Facebook to see how we get on and to find out how much money we can raise for these two brilliant charities.

Your donations will make a difference to many dogs and their families.

Thank you for your support!
