The refugee crisis in Europe is getting worse due to the escalating war in Ukraine. Many people are donating clothes, food, pet food, and money, but supply chains are stretched. Medical equipment and other supplies can't all be acquired in-country. Romania is already struggling to meet the needs of desperate people fleeing the war.

My friends Michele and Martin are taking a large van from the UK across to Romania, at their own expense, to support a range of needs for essential goods. It's going to cost them between £2400-£2600 in van rental and fuel costs, plus additional expenses. They saw a need, and just did it.

They are supporting a group of unaffiliated volunteers with family in Lviv and Kyiv, and a school in west London with connections to Ukraine. Your donation will help to spread the cost, and should more than £2400 be raised, the money will all go to the DEC Ukraine appeal.

I’m just providing some support from home. These folks are doing something on the ground to help, and giving up their own money, time, and time with their families to try to make a difference. Please help.

Thank you!
