Story

It’s that time of year again.

Mrs Campbell-Claus is on the scrounge – please don’t be a scrooge!

This year I will be supporting KingsfolkCarers Edinburgh.

Kinship care is the raising of children by grandparents, other extended family members, and adults with whom they have a close family-like relationship, such as godparents and close family friends, because biological parents are unable to do so for whatever reason.

Most kinship carers receive no financial support and they survive on benefits or their own income, which in many cases is a pension. This can be challenging because the carers are unprepared to become parents and suddenly need items to meet the child’s basic needs or have to change their home to accommodate the child/children

This is where Kinsfolkcarers come in to provide help and support when accessing these items and making the necessary adjustments to their life and home. http://kinsfolkcarers.co.uk/about-us.html

If anyone would live to make a donation to buy a gift/voucher for a kinship care child in Edinburgh to help buy a treat or in some cases items of necessity, then it would be greatly appreciated.

I know we all give to our charities day in and day out but this is happening on our doorstep!!

Any amount is appreciated.

Wishing you and yours who are fortunate all the best – please think of those that are not
