Story
Midmill School is the new Primary School in Kintore which is due to open its doors on 16th November 2016 to local children from Kintore as well as accommodate 400 children from Kinellar School in Blackburn while a new Primary school is built for them. As a new school we are looking to build strong bonds with local business and community groups.
Aberdeenshire Council have provided a basic starter set for our school, but this does not provide any funding for additional items or extra-curricular activities. In addition the school has a beautiful new library but unfortunately it has bare shelves with no books as this requires to be built up from scratch. I have volunteered as a parent of a Primary One child to help raise some funds for the children.
With this in mind I am hoping that local companies could help us by donating a raffle price for our Christmas Raffle to kick start the fund pot for the children or alternatively look at making a donation to the school to help buy books to build the library, as I am sure you will agree literacy is a vital part of children’s development.
We understand that times are hard in the current economic climate however anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
