Many people won't be aware that the Cumberland Infirmary, the hospital in which i am based, has been part of a link project with a Tanzanian hospital in Mbeya for many years.

Since 2007, the link project has helped to improve and develop many areas of healthcare within the hospital: opthalmology, equipment donation, infection prevention and creating an antibiotics guideline policy amongst other things.

2017 hopes to continue the good work of the Link Project but this year the aim is for a Physiotherapist and an Orthopaedic Nurse to journey to CIC for 2 weeks to take part in some shadowing and training that can then be implemented back home in Mbeya.

For this to happen the project is hoping to raise money to facilitate this trip and to continue the great work that's been carried out over the years and hopefully to build an even stronger link with more great opportunities in the future!!

Currently there is 2 fundraising event taking place: a tiger boat race on 16th september and a charity vinyl night on 25th august. Donations for either of these events would be greatly appreciated.
