Story

I’m raising £1,200 to support the amazing work that Glossop Cat Rescue does for vulnerable and abandoned cats in our local community.

I’ve set this target because I’m taking on a huge personal challenge - riding the Lost Dot 101, a 1200km ultra-distance cycle race starting on 10th May 2026. The route begins in Santiago de Compostela and finishes in Córdoba, crossing the length of Spain, and going through Portugal.

The Lost Dot 101 is a 1200km race for women, non-binary, and trans riders. It follows a free-route format between a series of checkpoints, meaning I’ll be responsible for planning my own route, as well as finding food, rest, and somewhere to sleep along the way. It’s completely unsupported - just me, my bike, and whatever I can carry.

I’ve been training throughout the winter for this challenge - facing wild weather, long miles, and plenty of tough climbs around the Peak District. It’s pushed me physically and mentally, but nothing compared to the resilience these cats show every day.

That’s why this matters.

Glossop Cat Rescue works tirelessly to care for cats that have been abandoned, neglected, or left with nowhere to go. Every donation helps provide food, shelter, and medical care - and gives these animals a second chance at a safe, loving home. I'm one of the many volunteers at Glossop Cat Rescue, so know first hand the volume of work and dedication it takes to find the perfect forever home for each cat.

If you’re able to support, even a small amount makes a real difference.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me 🚴‍♀️🐾🐈🐈‍⬛
