I've raised £200 to Buy AFripads ( reusable sanitary products) and underware for school girls and young women in rural eastern Uganda.

In October 2018 I hope to return to Kumi, Eastern Uganda to volunteer with the Kumi Community Fund to help children and young people with disabilities.
Whilst I am there I hope to supply school girls and young women with pairs of pants and Afripads ( reusable sanitary protection)
Imagine having to use bits of old fabric, foam, leaves and even banana skins as a form of sanitary protection. By donating to the page you will be providing Afripads for school girls and young women who have little or no access to sanitary protection. Your donation will also help to buy pants so that the pads can be worn comfortably and discreetly.
Research has shown that many young girls skip school or leave school altogether due to being unable to manage their monthly period . The longer a girl stays in education the chances of her falling pregnant reduce dramatically.
Sanitary products and underwear are an expensive luxury for Ugandan women.
