Story

Tracey Baker, Julie Montague, Nicola Boulton and Lynn Pritchatt are participating in the National Three Peaks Challenge 7-9 September to raise funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease. This challenge involves ascending and descending the three highest mountains in the UK. Our itinerary is as follows:-

Friday 7th September - Ben Nevis Saturday 8th September Scafell Pike and Sunday 9th September Mount Snowdon.

Mel Evans MBE was tragically diagnosed with the death sentence that is Motor Neurone Disease in April 2016. Lives were changed irretrievably. The most horrific of illnesses that offers no single shred of hope of effective treatment or a cure. A man who was a perfect gentleman - very funny, dry sense of humour, hardworking, meticulous in his work and dedicated his life to his much loved and cherished family and Crown Green Bowls. My life is forever changed and I can never be the person I once was. My life now is focused on ensuring Mel's legacy lives on and I dedicate the rest of my life to doing just that. My wish is that we move closer to a world free of MND. My wish is that Crown Green Bowls is developed further in every way possible. The Mel Evans MBE Foundation will play its part in doing that.
