Emergencies

Story

On Saturday 3rd August, Lynwood Civil Engineering will be entering two teams to take part in a charity football tournament hosted by our client Wessex Water YTL.

As part of this tournament, our team based in the North of the Wessex Water region are raising funds to purchase publicly accessible emergency bleed control kits to be distributed & fitted within the local South Bristol area.

We have chosen this cause following the high number of fatalities and injuries from knife-related incidents in the city so far in 2024, but there are also many other ways for a catastrophic bleed to occur, such as from a car accident or a work-related injury. Having publicly accessible bleeding control packs available to the public provides the necessary first aid to reduce blood loss until professional medical help arrives. For the cost of a kit, a life could be saved and their family spared lifelong grief knowing that they could perhaps have survived.

All funds raised will be donated to purchase bleed control kits from The Daniel Baird Foundation in association with the Bristol Bleed Kit Campaign South West to ensure the kits are donated & fitted within the local area.

All donations are greatly appreciated for this worthy cause.
