Story

Our beautiful daughter died at full term on April 5th due to a unexpected stage 3 Placenta abruption. I was extremely poorly as well and the hospital saved my life, the care we recieved whilst there was incredible. we were able to make so many memorys with our baby girl and we were given so much time and support. my husband was able to stay the entire time with me and was given a pull out bed and meals, this meant we had extra time with our daughter.

we would love to he able to buy some items for the bereavement room at the Royal Derby Hopsital. We will be checking what they need but we would like to be able to fund raise enough for a cold cot and a pull out bed for other bereaved parents to use. No one wants to be in this position but if we can atleast help make the journey for another family that little bit easier it would mean the world. The cold cots enable families to spend time with their baby once they have died and help to keep them cool to slow down the changing process. These are vital in these situations and can mean families can also take their baby home for a few days if they wish. You dont get to see your child grow so all you have are those few days to make as many memories as you can.
