Story

on 12th August 2018 my life changed. I was taken into A&E where both my legs from hip downwards seized (went numb) and after an MRI scan I was diagnosed with a bulging slip disc that has resulted to a rare spinal syndrome known as Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES). I had 4.5 hours surgery to release pressure on my spinal nerves due to the bulging prolapsed disc and was in hospital for almost 2 months. I was in so much pain and taking a cocktail of drugs to enable me to cope with the excrutiating pain. I had to learn how to walk again from wheelchair to Zimmer frame to crutches ...I’m thankful that I’m on road to recovery but nerves are delicate and my disabilty could be permanent, fully or partially recover. For my forthcoming birthday this year I’ve decided that I want to raise awareness to CES a very rare condition, occurring in one to three in every 100,000 people. All the money raised will go to Cauda Equina Charity to enable raise more awareness on the condition and support people living with CES. I hope you’ll all join in and support my good cause.
