Story
Anthony Marchington has been a valued member of Matlock Athletic Club for many years. He used to love running over the Edges near Baslow and, particularly enjoyed running off road around Buxton and The Roaches. He has achieved some impressive PBs running London Marathon twice and has a pottery mug from 1982s marathon in which he recorded a time of 2.34. Anthony has been diagnosed with early onset dementia and his memory has rapidly deteriorating and he now requires full time care and is living at the Meadow View Care Centre in Matlock. Meadow View is a 32 bedded care home providing long-term care for people with dementia as well as short-term and rehabilitation care. The care centre seeks to enhance the lives of people by providing stimulating resources. It would be wonderful because of Anthony's love of exercise if some money could be raised to provide appropriate exercise equipment or fund visiting exercise instructors.
