I've raised £3000 to Macy’s rehabilitation and physio

Last year, we had to face the news that our beautiful Macy had been in a devastating car crash leaving her with a 2% survival rate on the night. Fast forward six weeks when Macy was out of her coma she still had life changing injuries and more recently a brain injury as a result of 4 strokes. No words can really describe the impact this has had on our family, so much has changed but we are so grateful to have our miracle Macy still with us. Throughout this whole experience, Macy has been our reason to keep going and given us the strength to get through it. Anyone that knows Macy will be able to agree that she really is the most inspiring, caring and loving person you will ever meet and she definitely makes you feel at home whenever you’re with her. Speaking on behalf of Macy’s friends and the rest of our family we simply could never imagine life without her by our sides, she really is someone that everyone deserves to have in their lives.
Before the accident Macy was a fun loving 19 year old who had just started to experience life as an adult at university. She had her whole future planned out but would never take life so seriously, always finding time for parties and her pony Eddie. On this day, her life really changed forever, for everyone around her it really highlighted the importance of enjoying every day just like Macy did as well never taking anything for granted. I‘m eternally grateful to be able to have Macy by our side but I will never stop wishing that she can continue with her adolescent life just like she deserves to. After Macy’s journey has finished at King’s she will be referred to a specialised rehabilitation centre, this will cost approximately £150,000 for 3 months. As Macy’s family and friends we think it is only right to step up and make good use of our health and abilities therefore her best friend Charlie has organised a group to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge in April. This is most definitely a massive challenge for all of us but nothing in comparison to what Macy has dealt with therefore we will be training hard to allow us to finish this challenge. We are asking everyone to help us in this challenge and help with Macy’s fundraising, no donation is too small, every penny will help change Macy’s life.
Thank you for all your support,
Macy’s friends and family x
