Story

I visited this tiny community on the south west coast of Madagascar last year. The Vezo people are subsistence fishermen.

I filmed with them for a week. The most generous, kind, giving people I have visisted. Their school hut had blown down the previous year and the teacher left. The children were so gentle and eager to learn.

The cost of a new school house and teacher's house was so little, that I felt we had to try and help .

In our first push, we amazingly raised enough money for the school, which we have built. In our second push we raised enough to build two more classrooms, with three teachers and over 200 children attending.

Now we have been running for over a year. It is incredible what we have all been able to achieve. There is so much to still do and support.

More recently, my dear friend Andy has been given a really bad prognosis and only has a few months to live. He wants to dedicate his last months to fundraising for an arts and music room. He is donating a number of instruments and more, but we need to raise some more funds to make it happen.

Any donations, big or small, will help us achieve his goal.
