I've raised £750 to help fund a memorial plaque for our angel Maddison💗

On the 29th of July at 10:32am my waters broke at home. I was loosing a lot of water and while on the phone to the midwife I lost a lot of pure blood. Due to me only being able to drive I had to ring for my dad to come and take me to the hospital! When we got there the midwife firstly refused to see me because I’d forgotten my hand held notes but honestly this was my least priority at that very moment! My dad had to go back and get them before they’d see me, didn’t matter that I was still purely bleeding. I was finally examined and I was already 2cm dilated, however didn’t have any pain what so ever, i was currently only 21 weeks pregnant, due to this the hospital wouldn‘t give me any medication to stop labour coming on as they advise you need to be 24 weeks through your pregnancy. They also checked for baby’s heartbeat which was still there and so very strong!
It was a hard road, they put me straight into the bereavement suite at Kingsmill Hospital, on that Sunday morning, then on the Monday because I’d had no further progress into labour they put me on the ward with all the other mummies and newborn babies, yet telling me my baby girl wouldn’t make it. It was the most awful experience. I also went for an ultrasound to check if there was any flux around baby, which there was to their surprise due to how much I’d lost, they also checked baby’s heartbeat which was still absolutely perfect. On the Tuesday they transferred me back to the bereavement suite once they’d seen how much it was affecting us. Once again checking baby’s heartbeat, still perfect, they couldn’t believe it. Then into the early hours on Wednesday 1st of August, I went into full labour, they moved me to the delivery room around 6am, I remember them taking so many samples of blood to check my infection levels hadn’t risen and injecting me because I was developing blood clots. I took gas and air throughout, after being in labour for 78 hours and 48 minutes, I then gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Maddison Kate Stevenson at 17:18pm, weighing 390grams and she was 29.4cm long, she was very lucky to enter the world alive, but was far too precious for this earth to survive.👼🏻
Maddison Kate you was absolutely perfect, no faults what so ever. You had the longest fingers and the biggest feet just like your daddy! You had eyelashes just like mummy so long, and your hair was just starting to grow, hopefully you’d of taken after mummy! You had lips just like Granny Max and you was, wouldn’t been and still are so loved and so much very wanted princess💗
