Why are you here?
Maddox - Age 11 is participating in a sponsored triathlon being held at Abberley Hall School in September 2018
His aim is collect sponsorship which will go to the Scouts Haarlem Jamborette fundraising campaign 2019. In the hope he and his fellow scout troop may get the opportunity of a lifetime to go the event in the Netherlands!
So what is he doing?
The running and cycling course is 5k with a mixture of grass, tarmac and forest tracks followed by 50m swim he has upto 30 minutes to complete!
What next?
He has 12 weeks to train, however the challenge being he is recovering from a broken arm and gave up regular swimming some time ago... so we've joined a gym and start training at the beginning of July.

6 years agoOne month on and training is going well - Maddox is off camping with the scouts in a couple of weeks so we've got the next 2 weeks to continue stamina training..

6 years agoTraining is going well, we know he can run 5K and cycle 5K but we haven't got the swim bit yet... but plenty of time to practice!
