Story

Key date: 12/06/2018

Ramadan is a special time of the year for Muslims, where we keep a fast from sunrise until sunset. Of course for Muslims, the holy month of Ramadan represents a period to devote ourselves to our faith and connect with Allah.

However the spirit of Ramadan is much more than abstaining from eating. The month represents charity and generosity. It’s a time to self-reflect, to count our blessings and train your heart and soul to become a better version of you.
One of the key things of Ramadan is the family and community feel it brings.

So this year I asked some of my friends to take on the challenge of fasting for one day during Ramadan with me to experience all these wonderful feelings and emotions Ramadan fills us with :)

To the wonderful TMT crew - Caroline, Jack, Liz, Lauren & Lara. Lets bring on the challenge! Sura, Zahid and I are here to help you through! We'll be fasting together on 12/06/2018.

We are going to be marking this occasion with raising some money for charity to give back to those individuals who are less fortunate than us. Any money raised will be take back to Pakistan by me or a family member. It will go to helping feed families who have no food, providing clean and safe drinking water or to help with provisions of clothes, clean bedding etc.
