I've raised £1000 to Help buy Alex a Tuk-tuk

In my opening story I described the plight of Alex and a decision to do something to change his circumstances so that he could keep his children at school. We all wanted to add value to his life. Not his loss of a job, but his fine character was the catalyst that set him apart from others and made us want to help in some way. If we could set him up in a small business, it would change his life, and the lives of others, including his children and ourselves
We have had to refocus our decision to raise 1000 pounds. We asked ourselves this question: "If we could accomplish one thing that would definitely make an impact, what would it be?" We came to the conclusion that we had to fulfil a definite need.
For us, that is what must occur. That is our bottom line.
So, we investigated a need within a big complex in Harare People who have no means to complete daily errands, but do have the money to afford to pay for an honest, reliable service.
Our strategy therefore is to raise enough money to buy and license a Tuk-tuk. In Harare, the Tuk-tuk costs approximately US$3000. We now have $1200 from our first fund-raiser, but need to double this. The deficit, we will make up ourselves.
We can't achieve this alone. It will require the aid of friends and colleagues. Please help if you can. The reality is that in Africa nobody can expect to raise that amount alone.
Thank-you
