A Drop in the Ocean ( Drapen i havet) is a Norwegian charity which supports the residents of a number of refugee camps in Greece. Many of the residents ( but not all have come from Syria)
I am going to Souda camp which is situated on the island of Chios for 2 weeks in August. This is one of the less well resourced camps, with people living in tents both summer and winter. Some families have been living there for over a year.
I am trying to raise some money to take with me to support the work of the charities working in and around the camp, to provide relief and normality ( as much as possible) for the people who are living here waiting for interviews and decisions to be made to allow them to restart their lives.
