Help for Giant Dogs with aggression problems - "Duch Leona" Centre ask for help

"Duch Leona "is s Dogs Welfare Center in Poland. We are proud to be only one dogs' welfare center which helps dogs with aggression problems. Our mission is to help aggressive dogs come back to the roots and become a normal dog again. We are committed to helping even the most troubled of dogs through on site rehabilitation program. We have guests from Europe and Poland who come to see our methods and monitor dogs progress.

We help to save lives of dogs with aggression problems, especially those at risk of being excluded from the society. Only one Dogs training Center in Poland is looking for people's help and support in finishing two new buildings. Through our campaign we raise standards of care and awareness of aggression issues and rely on your support to help us push for law changes and improving the welfare of dogs.

Who we are and what we do

We are looking after giant dogs- they weight may vary from 7- 12 stones. It's very important information as All dogs are NOT the same, and caring for giant dog breeds has a whole range of unique challenges. But the rewards are big too! Most of our dogs are these which were at risk of being put down due to aggression issues. Unfortunately, large-breed dogs are capable of doing much more serious damage than smaller ones – and for this reason, larger dogs are more often euthanized for aggression than smaller ones.

We neither train our dogs nor keep them in kennel or crates. Aggressive and difficult dogs learn the correct interactions from highly –skilled and experienced dogs which lives in the group and learn from their interactions which they have with the environment. Our dogs always have a choice - we don't train them, lure with snacks or toys. We help them to come back to the roots and become normal dogs again. Day – to –day routines plays the vital role in our dogs' life so they are involved in many projects! Every day we get to know each other better and learn about our dogs' temperament, changes in their behavior. Despite some challenges in the past we are proud to watch them grow in confidence and skills set that expert dogs gave them to manage the problems without aggression. The upsides are obvious- but we are not perfect.Human presence and assistance plays only the supportive and service role here.

Hospice dogs and palliative patients We are also proud to provide support and care for our patients in the last phases of incurable disease, or at the natural end of life. We believe and hospice exists in the belief that our dogs in the last phases of life deserve such care so that they might live as fully and comfortably as possible.

Future

Please help us to finish off this project. We already know that the number of dogs being abandoned as strayed is growing every year - which happens very often due human irresponsibility, animal behavioral problems or lack of knowledge about the breed. Knowing that dogs face the uncertain future we would like to offer them a new living place where they could be socialized with our dogs and re homed. "Duch Leona" continue to expand and remain committed to help dogs with aggression issues. We helped many unwanted dogs for years but it is very hard to make any improvements to their accommodation as building materials are every expensive. To do this we need to ask for financial help all animal lovers. We would like to give our dogs more space. Aggressive dogs have their own "room" and for more extreme cases we have a small house where they can go and get some rest after tiring day or session with other dogs. In the second building we also would like to finish building "bath station" this is very important to have one, not only for Palliative care but very often unwanted dogs are already covered with dirt after collecting them from shelters or people, also our dogs require a shower after long walks.

Please help us to change the future – we believe that "Duch Leona" is a unique place which deserves attention and care. Without your help we won't change this place.
