Story

With the will of Allah swt, we have made the intention of visiting the blessed land of bait al maqdis (masjid al aqsa). We would like to take this opportunity to help the local community who are not as economically fortunate or economically independant. We see this as a great opportunity to help the local people with the means available given the opportunity.

We are a small group of 6 people travelling from Bedford with Maulana sheikh Abbas Ibn Idrees Khan of Darul ul Huda masjid and madrasa. The other 5 who will be travelling on this blessed journey are Haji Mahmood Khan, Haji Raise Butt, Haji Abdul Gafur, maulana Abdur Raqib and Haji Rasel Ahmed. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our support for the people of Palestine and show them that the muslims of Bedford have not forgot about them and are in support of their brothers and sisters in this blessed land.

The importance of donating to Masjid al Aqsa.

Abdullah Ibn Umar (ra) relates, I asked the Prophet (saw), “Apostle of Allah, tell us the legal injunction about (visiting) Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).” The Apostle of Allah (saw) said, ” Go and pray there. If you cannot visit it and pray there, then send some oil to be used in the lamps”. [Bukhari]

Maymunah Bint Sa’d (ra) relates that she asked the Prophet (saw), “O Messenger of Allah, inform us about Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem)”. He said, “Visit it for prayer “. She further asked, “If one of us cannot visit it, what should we do”? He said, “If you cannot go for prayer then send some oil to be used for its lamps, will be as if he has prayed in it”. [Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud, Tabarani]
